The Mantle Cell Lymphoma Consortium (MCLC) was formed in January 2005 by the Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) and is composed of more than 100 laboratory and clinical scientists from North America and Europe focusing their research efforts on mantle cell lymphoma. The MCLC is a program designed to accelerate the pace of research in mantle cell lymphoma. Our goal is to identify effective and curative treatment strategies for mantle cell lymphoma by funding innovative clinical studies.

Researcher Profiles - At the Cutting Edge!
With funding from LRF, Shantaram Joshi, PhD, (University of Nebraska Medical Center) is investigating the role of sonic hedgehog (Shh)-GLI signaling in the proliferation and survival of MCL.

Research in Focus: Zooming in on Mantle Cell
During the last three years, LRF has made an enormous investment in MCL research as well as forming the MCL Consortium. You can now read about the tremendous progress made in our new publication, entitled Research In Focus: Mantle Cell Lymphoma. This first issue focuses on the work of six of the MCL researchers that LRF has been funding. It also profiles three individuals who are living with this orphan disease whose lives have been changed because of the treatment options that are now available due to the research progress that has occurred.
