Dr. Caldwell received a graduate degree in Microbiology in 1977, his M.D. in 1981, and a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology in 1983, from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Columbia, MO. Since then he has risen to the position of Director of?fthe Ellis Fischel Cancer Center at UMC. He has received numerous honors and awards, including??being named??the CRC Missouri Chair in Cancer Research. Dr. Caldwell has authored over 80 publications in peer-reviewed journals. His current research focuses??on epigenetic alterations in acute leukemias and lymphomas.
