Dr. Caliguiri is currently the Director of the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center.
He received his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine and?tcompleted his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Caligiuri then completed a fellowship in medical oncology and bone marrow transplantation at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Caligiuri's research focuses on the biology and therapeutic potential of natural killer cells, biologic response modifiers in lymphoma, and the molecular biology and genetics of leukemia. His clinical expertise in acute myeloid leukemia and post-transplant lymphoma has allowed him to apply his research findings and advance the treatment of these diseases. Dr. Caligiuri has authored or co-authored more than 160 scientific publications and serves??on the editorial boards of Blood, Clinical Cancer Research, Blood Reviews and Molecular Cancer Therapeutics.
