Abstract

Our genetic study indicates that some chromosomal alterations are of prognostic value in mantle cell lymphoma. These alterations may improve our ability to predict the clinical aggressiveness of mantle cell lymphoma in individual patients. If we could confirm these results, they may help to better stratify patients with very short and longer survival probability to offer them different therapeutic strategies.?a??

The results of our objective 3 with the inhibitor of the proteasome Bortezomib have provided key information to understand the mechanism of action of this new treatment for MCL. This opens new perspectives to make this treatment more efficient since now we may understand what other drugs may synergize with Bortezomid as well as how we can circumvent the occasional resistances observed with this drug.
